I have never been to the Texas coast but a friend used to live there and still visits often to be with her sisters. The three of them are a fun loving threesome and my inspiration comes from picturing them at the beach. This isn't a "peaceful" beach scene but a lively one that comes from my mind.

"Buena Vista Box" by Colorado Mixed Media artist Lisa Eisenhardt

A lot of great things come from Cuba besides cigars, like Buena Vista Social Club, which I listened to while mosaicking this old, very solid, walnut cigar box. It's a gleaming, beautiful blue and green mosaicked piece of very functional art. On the outside you'll see stained glass, agates, pebbles, glass cabochons, millefiori, turquoise, and handcrafted ceramic pieces. I will line it for you if you'd like.

"Cog Rail Trail" by Colorado Mixed Media Artist, Lisa Eisenhardt

More Colorado! This winter I took my parents up the Cog Rail in Colorado Springs. The sights along the way were inspiring and I ended up creating this stained glass wall hanging - hand made frame with beetle kill pine, which has beautiful gray tones. Other tesserae used - sliced rock, amber pebbles, agate, black pebbles, turquoise, and petrified wood slices.
This is ready to hang with D hook on the back.
